Buxton is accessible from across the North being within an hour's drive from most large towns and cities in the northwest, south Yorkshire, and east midlands.

Throughout the year there's always something happening in our town with the internationally famous Buxton Festival and Fringe being the focus of the Summer months drawing in guests from around the world to enjoy new and rarely performed operatic works. The Dressing of the Wells, a local Derbyshire tradition draws crowds from far and wide.

Famed for our natural thermal Spring waters, fresh air and fell walks we're a day trip for the family or a getaway weekend for walkers, lovers of nature and the local attractions around the area.

Surrounded as we are by the stunning natural wonders of the Peak District we are perfectly sited for stopping off en route for walkers, hikers and outdoors activities for  all abilities.

Historic Derbyshire attractions like Hardwick Hall, Haddon, and of course the palace in the Peaks; Chatsworth are within short driving distances and many visitors add Buxton to a short stay or visit to the area.
